Opportunities in shopping, dining and entertainment are plentiful near Alpharetta homes for sale. The community's premier shopping center is Avalon. This sprawling mixed-use development features a wide range of retailers and restaurants along with a 12-screen Regal Cinemas theater. The North Point Mall is also located in Alpharetta and is one of Atlanta's top upscale shopping destinations.
 
As far as dining goes, Alpharetta is home to more than 150 restaurants. There's something to suit practically every taste and mood, from upscale and trendy to relaxed and casual. Cuisine options include Mexican, seafood, Southern, New American, Thai and more.
 
For even more to do, Alpharetta hosts a variety of events, festivals and concerts throughout the year. There's a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings from April through October. One can also attend a concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. In addition, Food Truck Alley is held every Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 during the summer months. Other popular events include the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest, Scarecrow Harvest, the Christmas Tree Lighting, and July 4th Fireworks at Wills Park.
 
Those residing in Alpharetta real estate can also enjoy wonderful opportunities in parks and recreation. There are many well-maintained and amenity-rich parks to choose from. North Park features a playground, hiking trails, a baseball diamond, football field, tennis courts and a picnic pavilion. Union Hill Park has a fantastic inline skating hockey court.
